Since the campaign has greatly exceeded its original funding target, can we expect stretch goals?
Though we didn’t have formal stretch goals, because of the amazing success of the project we have added several bonuses – both physical and digital – to thank backers for their generosity. These include a digital narration of the entire book by VaatiVidya, several panoramic fold-out spreads placed throughout the book, a premium gold foil-stamped bookmark, to name a few.

Are the artists featured in this book being compensated for the use of their art?
Yes. All featured artists – and even shortlisted artist who may not appear in the final book – were paid a licensing fee prior to the launch of the Kickstarter, which they were invited to keep regardless of whether the project reached its funding goal. Due to the remarkable success of the campaign, a second (and more substantial) payment will be issued once the campaign ends. All of these individuals will also receive a complimentary copy of the slipcase edition of the book along with a unique thank-you label signed by Vaati.

I want a Canvas of Souls art print along with the book but there's no reward tier with this combination of items. What do I do?
Shortly after the campaign ends on September 13th, we will email a pledge survey to backers to collect shipping addresses (via a platform called BackerKit). As part of this process, you will also be invited to purchase add-ons a la carte – extra books, an art print, etc. We recommend backing at the tier that gives you the book and then add the Canvas of Souls art print as an add-on via the pledge manager.

Yes, we offer worldwide shipping. Though we launched the campaign with certain remote destinations excluded (due to the exorbitant cost of shipping to places like Asia, South America, Russia, etc), we have changed that policy so that potential customers can decide for themselves whether they still want to pledge for physical rewards as opposed to the shipping-free digital edition.

The shipping cost to my country is really expensive. Will you please lower your shipping prices?
International shipping – particularly sending heavy art books to places like Asia, LatAm, Australia, New Zealand, etc – is shockingly expensive (and rates have been increased again recently due to the pandemic). With our previous projects, we lost a great deal of money on shipping international orders and have adjusted our rates to bring them more in line with the cost we actually incur. We do not inflate shipping costs to build extra profit margin into sales of Soul Arts.

What about the art prints? Will *they* be available for purchase after the campaign ends?
Backers will have a chance to add prints to their pledge via the post-campaign pledge manager, however unlike the Soul Arts book itself, the art prints will not be made available on the Tune & Fairweather website. They will remain campaign exclusives.

The campaign has been very successful. Is there any risk of not having enough rewards to fulfil all the orders?
No cause for concern on this front. The beauty of Kickstarter is that we will able to tailor our various print runs to match whatever demand emerges at the conclusion of the campaign and pledge-manager pre-orders.

Kickstarter requires a credit card in order to back the campaign. I don't have a credit card. Is there any way for me to use PayPal or do a direct transfer from my bank account?
Alas, no. This is a limitation of the Kickstarter platform at present. The best workaround, though hardly perfect, is to find a trusted family member or friend with a credit card who might be willing to help you back the campaign and let you reimburse them via an alternative payment method (cash, bank transfer, PayPal/Venmo, etc).

BackerKit is a service that crowdfunded project creators use to keep track of hundreds to tens of thousands of backers—from shipping details, pledge levels, preferences and quantities, whether they have paid or had their card declined, special notes, and everything in between!

I never received my invitation. How do I complete the survey?
The most common reasons for not receiving a survey email is that you may be checking an email inbox different from the email address you used to sign up with Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account, or it may be caught in your spam filter.
Confirm that the email address you are searching matches the email address tied to your Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or Tilt Pro account. If that doesn’t work, then try checking your spam, junk or promotions folders. You can also search for "backerkit” in your inbox.
To resend the survey to yourself, visit the project page and input the email address associated with your Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account.
How do I update my shipping address?
BackerKit allows you to update your shipping address until the shipping addresses are locked by the project creator. To update your address, go back to your BackerKit survey by inputting your email here.
When will my order be shipped, charged or locked?
That is handled directly by the project creator. BackerKit functions independently of the project itself, so we do not have control of their physical shipping timeline. If you want to check on the project’s status, we recommend reading over the project's updates page.
